Dear Julie,
I know I say this to you all the time but, I just can't say enough good things about your home care. From the first time we visited I knew in my heart that it was the place for my mom. The thing that caught my attention was the brightness of the family room. I knew my mom would love the view and all the windows that let the sun light in. It was very clean and this what my mom needed.
I was also very impressed with the several visits you made to the nursing home to get to know my mom before we had even made the decision to place her with you. The fact that she loved you the moment she met you also made the decision easier.
Once my mom moved in, it was clear to me that we had another family. You have no idea how much I appreciate your help and support in explaining to my mom why she could not be in her own home anymore as well as convincing her to take a bath. In your home my mom was safe, well fed and very well taken care of. I remember someone telling me that my mom had said, "Why would anyone want to go out to eat when the food here is so good?" She loved Tania's cooking and of course so did we.
What touched my heart the most is how you and your staff treated my mom. She could be so crabby and you all treated her so respectfully no matter how mean she was to you. You all cared for her like a mother cares for a child and I loved that she called Tania, Mama. I learned for the first time what it meant to have a good night sleep. For the first time in five years I did not have to worry about my mom.
Thank you so much Julie and your staff for making my mom's last months with us very happy, safe and comfortable ones. We are so grateful for you and your staff.
Sincerely and with Love,
Sandy Hollis and family

Julie, My family and I would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to you for the absolutely wonderful care you bestowed upon my Grandma while she was at Julie's Elder Care in Santee. Your staff and home are superb and we knew from the outset that we'd found Grandma's home. She loved your home and it's residents (including the 2 dogs!) and we're confident Grandma had all the comforts of home while there. It is my pleasure to give your facility the highest recommendation.
Kindly,
Paul Montgomery

Dear Julie,
My family is very grateful for the wonderful care provided to our mom, Mary Jane while she was living at your home, especially during her final days. Everyone did an exceptional job making her feel at home and attending to her special needs. The love and affection shown to mom by you and your staff was genuine allowing the confidence that she would be properly provided for and treated with the sensitivity and respect that she so graciously deserved. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for the folks at Julie's Elderly Care and be eternally thankful to you all for the love and support that you gave to our family during a most difficult time.
You are all gifts from heaven,

To Julie and the Girls,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope everything is okay with you and the other residents. Thanks you for having me as a guest in your home for respite care to recover from having a hip replacement. I felt I received excellent care and had the freedom to move around and regain my strength when I needed to; as compared to a nursing home. I am glad I could come to your home because my home had stairs and it would be too difficult to go up and down the stairs right after surgery.
Thank you again!

Dear Julie, Tania and staff,
Thank you all so much for your care you gave my mother at your home. We were so pleased to find her a such a beautiful home with such loving and caring people surrounding her. What a wonderful place you have created and what blessed work you do. Your thoughtfulness seems never-ending. I thank God every day that he led us to your home for my mom’s end of life. Thank you for all you did, and continue to do for others. You and your staff were there for my mom, for her every need, always showing your kindness, love and support. Tania was so patient with my mom because my mom wanted things done just right. She was almost blind so she needed assistance with all of her daily living activities. Even though she lived with my brother or me for the past 20 years she was very comfortable at your home and transitioned very well from our home to your home. When she was told she had to go on hospice by my sister she said, “That’s okay as long as I can stay at Julie’s.” My sister, brothers and I felt comfortable because it was so close to home we had open communication with Julie and we came by to visit very often.

Dear Julie,
Thank you and your staff for everything you did for my dad. He was happy playing cards, gardening, going to senior dances at Balboa Park and out to lunch. He loved the home cooked meals and the home like atmosphere. He liked helping with anything that needed to be done around the house; and going for walks with the puppies. My dad was comfortable and happy, it was much appreciated. He did so much better at your home care than he did at his own home, due to having the loving care and supervision with medication and all of his health issues. As well as being around nice people and home cooked meals. My dad really liked having his own furniture and pictures he took so he could share them with all the visitors that came to the house. He was so appreciative that he was able to stay with you until the very end because he never wanted to go to the nursing home.
Big Hugs,
/s/ James

To Whom It May Concern:
Regarding Julie’s Elderly Care
Care Facility
It is very hard on family members to decide and place their mother or father in a place other than their own home to be taken care of for whatever reasons. But I have to say from the moment my husband and I stepped into Julie’s house, we both felt that this was a real home. It immediately was obvious how clean, friendly, and efficient it was run by Julie and her staff.
Julie is amazing! You get the feeling right away that she deeply cares for her residents and will go to any lengths to make sure they are well cared for both health wise and emotionally. She and her staff also care about the families of her residents, wanting them to always feel welcome and comfortable in her home.
While my mom was at Julie’s her care was excellent. Julie made sure that if there was ever a problem with my mom that she would call me right away so that I was aware of the situation, or I could call her at any time with questions.
I visited my mom several times a week, and always felt like it was my second home. The staff at the time (Tania and Mary), were friendly and wanted to help any way they could. The meals that they prepared and served were always healthy and very good. Laundry service and house cleaning was exceptional. Julie made sure her residents were entertained, either by having people coming in with instruments, giving barbeques, or having her own daughters and their puppies stop by for a “play time.”
In conclusion, Julie’s Elderly Care is an excellent facility in which to place your loved one. Please fell free to call me at (619) 449-4164 with any questions.
